Rune Engraving is a new system in Wow Season of Discovery that allows players to use skills added in future DLCs. It brings a lot of excitement and changes to the gameplay of WoW Classic Vanilla.Nothing is more remarkable for Hunter players than having access to some of the future DLC skills in the early game. WoW SoD Phase 2 Hunter Runes - Engrave Belt - Melee Specialist rune

Rune Effect: Raptor Strike cooldown reduced to 3 sec and is now instant, Mongoose Bite cooldown removed, and Raptor Strike has a 30% chance on each attack not to trigger its cooldown.Rune Location: Travel to Deadwind Pass and meet with the Dalaran Agent located at Ariden's Camp (52, 35). The agent will provide you with Ariden's Sigil. Once you have it, equip the Sigil or team up with another player who has it equipped. You will then need to use the Sigil to Reveal Dark Rider and hunt down 7 Dark Rider Elites. Killing the Elites while having the Sigil equipped will reward you with different Dalaran Relics. Keep your eyes open for the Dark Presence buff, which indicates that a Dark Rider Elite is nearby.The Dark Riders can be found at different locations across the following areas: Deadwind Pass (43, 29), Duskwood (23, 47), Swamp of Sorrows (69, 28), Arathi Highlands (60, 40), Badlands (58, 54), The Barrens (52, 36), and Desolace (65, 25). Once you have obtained all 7 Dalaran Relics, return to the Dalaran Agent and turn in each reward quest for experience points and some silver. When you have returned all 7 relics, you will receive Melee Specialist Rune as a final reward.Update 20Feb,2024:Raptor Strike damage when the Melee Specialist rune is active is now normalized weapon damage.

WoW SoD Phase 2 Hunter Runes - Engrave Belt - Steady Shot rune

Rune Effect: A steady shot that causes 60% ranged weapon damage.Rune Location: In the Arathi Highlands, you can find Needletooth fish swimming in the lake near Witherbark Village, located around coordinates (66, 60.5). They respawn approximately every 60 seconds. kill it to gain the Steady Shot rune.

Look for it on a tree stump at coordinates (45.0, 19.0). Your second target is in Arathi Highlands, in the stable at Northfold Manor. It is located at coordinates (31.0, 28.0). Rune Effect: Your Traps can now be placed at any location within 40 yards, and can be placed while you are in combat. Additionally, your Fire-based and Frost-based traps now have separate shared cooldowns.Rune Location: To start in Desolace, head to the Extinguished Campfire northwest of the Kodo Graveyard (47, 54). Once there, please pick up the quest and head to Kormek's Hut (63, 39) to turn it into Bibbly F'utzbuckle. Bibbly will give you the next quest, On the Lam. To continue the quest, travel to Booty Bay and go to the inn. Speak to Tokal to turn in On the Lam and pick up Cherry for Your Thoughts. Buy Cherry Grog and give it to her. She will then give you the next quest, “No Honor Among Thieves”. Next, head to the bridge between Arathi Highlands and the Wetlands and find the Rowboat around (53, 91) on the Arathi Highlands map. Interact with the boat to be teleported to the eastern shore. Find Illari Duskfeather and speak with her.
